YOUR PHOTO AND VIDEO TEAM FROM CHUR

We are six creative individuals who have come together through a shared passion for authentic and vibrant imagery.

Groups of seven people, photographers standing in a studio in front of a neutral gray background, with cameras and equipment, laughing and posing for the photo.

Every wedding, every family portrait, and every corporate project is a new story for us, one that we tell with great dedication and personal commitment.

We love capturing genuine emotions in pictures and preserving those small, often inconspicuous moments.

We look forward to getting to know you and telling your story in pictures—full of heart, creativity, and an eye for the extraordinary.

Let us introduce ourselves

Jan Rakeseder

Company founder / Photographer

My passion for the beauty of nature began at a very early age. In 2014, I was inspired by the beauty of my surroundings and began capturing it in photographs. I then moved to Australia for three years. Today, my goal is to portray people in front of my camera in the best possible way. My passion and wealth of ideas led to the creation of the company "BARA Pictures." My goal is to discover beauty and bring it back into the hearts of all people who may have forgotten how beautiful and unique they or their surroundings really are.

I love being able to accompany people during their unique moments in life. It is important to me to capture emotions and moods authentically. I want to treat people with sincerity, respect, and affection so that everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera and can have fun. I have an eye for the little things. I like to pay attention to details, colors, and the aesthetic staging of the images. I am the happy wife of Gabriel, and it is a gift for me to be able to share our passion for people and photography.

Videographer / Photographer

With my photos and videos, I want to capture unique emotions so that they are never forgotten. My passion for photography and videography developed early on when I shot my first skateboarding videos with a few friends. Today, I have turned my hobby into my profession and work as a multimedia producer. I enjoy taking photos and videos of weddings, events, and the incredibly beautiful nature. I am happy when I can capture your unforgettable moments with my pictures.

What fascinates me about photography is creating an image, paying particular attention to the aesthetics of color combinations and light. It is important to me to capture unposed moments that highlight the people and reflect genuine emotions and moods. In photojournalism, I like to tell the story of the day without words. In videography, I am impressed by how you can create even more emotion, as the images are in motion and a musical backdrop makes what you see even more powerful.

Even as a child, my grandmother's camera sparked my enthusiasm for photography. Today, this passion is my profession. My focus is on capturing moments in unique quality—aesthetically appealing and full of emotion. Whether events, commercials, or weddings, I enjoy telling stories through my pictures and videos. My FPV shots complement this with a unique, dynamic perspective. My goal: a satisfied smile and a result that inspires.

When I received my first camera as a gift at a young age, something clicked inside me—photography has been a part of my life ever since. What began as a quiet hobby gradually developed into a deep passion. During a period of professional reorientation, I took the step of enrolling in a photography school—without having any idea where this path would lead me.

Today, I am delighted to be able to contribute my creative streak and eye for detail to BARA Pictures. I love being out and about with people, getting to know their stories, and capturing special moments—to create images together that say more than words ever could.

The word BARA is the second word in the Bible and is Hebrew.

It is used to describe how God created the world. It is important to note that the word is always used in connection with a creative act by God and not by humans. At the end of each act, it is also described that it was good and planned.

In other words: simply beautiful and ingenious.

The significance of BARA

What BARA means to us

Only God can create something new. We humans can change what already exists and shape it creatively. As photographers, it is therefore our goal to capture creation with this knowledge through our images.

We are convinced that beauty can be found everywhere, and we want to convey this message to others. It is important to us to emphasize through our work how valuable and uniquely brilliant every person is.
